Gaussin has announced a contract for 22 Terminal Tractor APM 75T HE with an option for additional 30 APM 75T HE for QTerminals, operator of Phase 1 of Hamad Port in Qatar. QTerminals was awarded the concession for the design, development and operations of Hamad Port’s Phase 2 (Container Terminal 2) in November 2018 by Qatar’s Ministry of Transport and Communications.
CT2 will be equipped with Hybrid RTGs and electric STS cranes for vertical container transportation and Electric Terminal Tractors from Gaussin for container horizontal transportation.
APM 75T HE is a FULL ELECTRIC Terminal Tractor for container transportation dedicated to hot environments, equipped with LMP® Lithium Metal Polymer batteries, a technology insensitive to temperature variations from -20 to 160°C, designed and produced by Blue Solutions. According to the manufacturer the Terminal Tractor APM 75T HE allows very high OPEX savings in maintenance and energy, O emissions and noise pollution.
The APM 75T FULL ELECTRIC Terminal Tractor will be combined in operations with Gaussin’s Terminal Trailer TT acquired in December 2019 by QTerminals.
