Rope and Sling Specialists (RSS) is expanding its UK offering with the launch of a new Industrial Tools, Products and Services division, based at its Netherton depot near Dudley.
The new ITPS division will provide sales, hire, technical support and after-sales services, with the Netherton facility acting as a national stock and technical hub for customers across the UK.
The operation will primarily target major infrastructure projects and blue-chip organisations requiring specialist lifting, hydraulic and industrial equipment alongside engineered support.
RSS already supplies rigging hardware including blocks, shackles, hooks, slings and working-at-height equipment. Through ITPS, the company is extending this offering with a broader range of industrial tooling and specialist products.
Netherton will also serve as the UK base for Holmatro hydraulic equipment, with RSS acting as an authorised service centre and distributor. The company supplies cylinders, pumps, hoses and components and can dynamically test and certify hydraulic cylinders, including units from other manufacturers.
Other brands represented through the division include Allspeeds, Cyclops Global, Load Monitoring Systems, Modulift, Murlink, pewag, The Buddie System, Tagattach and Thern.
“The idea is to bring innovative, leading brands to customers across the UK through our nationwide depot network, supported by the ITPS stockroom here in Netherton,” said Paul Smith, ITPS Divisional Manager at RSS.
The Netherton site has been reorganised to accommodate the new operation, with its upper floor converted for ITPS activities.
RSS plans to further develop the location through 2027 into a centre of excellence for repair, testing and servicing of specialist industrial equipment, giving customers a single point of technical support throughout the equipment lifecycle.
