Industry standards, project examples and feedback from dealers shaped Caldwell’s latest sales-network programme, linking technical training in Beloit with the support available to those specifying, supplying and using its products.
Caldwell has used a three-day sales summit at its Beloit headquarters to strengthen the product and technical knowledge available through its manufacturing representatives, with faster responses to distributor and end-user enquiries as a central objective.
The event, held on 25–27 August, brought together Caldwell employees and representatives from across its sales network. Discussions covered products, training, market direction and priorities across the markets served by the company.
Jeff Ferchen, director of business development, said: “We want to equip our outside team with the same depth of knowledge we have within Caldwell, so they can provide the best possible support to our distributors and end users.”
Training included examples of projects and their impact in different markets, giving representatives practical information to take back to customers. The emphasis on industry standards and technical expertise was intended to help them answer questions more quickly and confidently.
Representatives also provided feedback on how Caldwell’s brands are perceived, alongside the needs and challenges facing distributors and end users. Their contact with dealers gave the company a view of customer requirements and areas for improvement.
Caldwell tailors the programme each year to its business priorities and market needs. Key takeaways are turned into action points, with follow-up after the summit intended to translate discussions into practical improvements.
