Liebherr-MCCtec GmbH has been awarded the Platinum medal by EcoVadis for the first time, placing the company among the top 1% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide.
Based in Nenzing, Austria, the company improved its overall score significantly compared to the previous year, moving up from a Gold to the highest possible rating. Liebherr-MCCtec said the result reflects ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability across its operations.
EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Liebherr-MCCtec reported progress in all categories, supported by a range of initiatives implemented over the past year.
These include new strategic targets for waste and water management, as well as continued development of environmental and energy systems, with the aim of achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification across all sites by 2030.
In labour and human rights, all manufacturing sites achieved ISO 45001 certification, while information security was strengthened through ISO 27001. The company also expanded Code of Conduct training programmes.
Further progress was made in sustainable procurement, including expanded CSR audits, new supplier evaluation criteria, and the introduction of a supply chain risk analysis tool.
The milestone also coincides with the publication of the Liebherr Group’s first integrated business and sustainability report for the 2024 financial year.
