Bobcat has introduced a new range of generators for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), expanding its portable power offering to well over 20 models with prime power outputs from 20 to 1650 kVA. Designed and manufactured in the MEA region, the new generator range is aimed at providing customers with a more cost-effective solution in an increasingly competitive market, while also offering strong heat resistance and improved total cost of ownership.

Local production in the Middle East also brings additional benefits including shorter delivery times, lower transport costs and reduced customs duties. The new line is intended for a wide range of applications, including construction, rental, general industry and agriculture, as well as home standby, telecommunications and backup power for small and large businesses.

The smallest six models in the range remain unchanged, covering outputs from 20 to 165 kVA. These include the PG20W, PG30W, PG50W, PG60W, PG110W and PG165W, powered by proven Yanmar engines up to 60 kVA or Volvo engines, offering high uptime, reduced maintenance requirements and lower noise levels.

The major update is the expanded selection of medium and large generators. Bobcat continues to offer models powered by well-established HD Infracore (HDI) engines, including the PG220W and PG340W in the medium class and the PG590W, PG710W and PG820W in the larger category.

In addition, Bobcat has introduced a new line featuring engines from Yuchai, one of China’s leading OEMs, enabling a broader product portfolio and extending the range up to 1650 kVA, compared to the previous maximum of 850 kVA.

Matus Gejdos, Portable Power Product Manager at Bobcat EMEA, said the range has been extensively tested in Middle Eastern conditions for thousands of hours, including under varying loads and temperatures above 40°C.
