Jandt Kranvermietung GmbH is celebrating its 75th anniversary with the addition of a new Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane to its fleet. The Bielefeld-based crane rental specialist is replacing one of its existing 60-tonne units, continuing its commitment to the proven performance and reliability of this versatile model.
Founded in 1950 by Friedrich Jandt, the company began with excavation and transport services before moving into mobile crane operations in 1964. From 1978 onward, Jandt steadily expanded, now operating around 40 vehicles across branches in Bielefeld, Bad Salzuflen, Detmold, Gütersloh and Holzminden. Managing Director Jens Lübeck credits the company’s long-term success to its dedicated workforce, noting that many employees have stayed from apprenticeship through to retirement.
Lübeck personally collected the anniversary crane from Liebherr’s Ehingen plant. He emphasised the all-round capability of the LTM 1060-3.1, deployed for everything from residential construction to industrial maintenance—and even erecting Christmas trees in tight urban spaces. “It is a compact, powerful 3-axle crane with huge operational flexibility,” he said.
The new crane strengthens a long partnership with Liebherr, whose machines represent the majority of Jandt’s 20 telescopic cranes. The fleet also includes two mobile construction cranes, the MK 88-4.1 and MK 140-5.1. Managing Director Sven Diercks highlighted the benefits of Liebherr’s unified operating systems, which simplify driver training and deployment.
Looking ahead, Jandt has already ordered two new Liebherr models—the LTM 1055-3.3 and the LTM 1400-6.1—scheduled for delivery next year
