Multisec has reached a major milestone in heavy-lift engineering with the DNV certification of two of its largest Modular Spreader Beams — a 1,200-tonne beam measuring 12.5 metres and a 2,000-tonne beam spanning 18.5 metres. Both are designed with provisions for future extensions to even greater lengths.
Developed to meet the rising demands of global offshore and heavy-lift projects, the new beams reflect Multisec’s commitment to innovation, precision, and safety. Each underwent rigorous in-house testing and full DNV assessment, earning certification that confirms compliance with the highest international standards.
“These beams are not just impressive in scale – they symbolise our team’s relentless pursuit of innovation, safety, and performance,” said Amanda Gardiner, Managing Director of Multisec. “DNV certification recognises the precision and dedication behind every Multisec product.”
The Multisec Modular Spreader Beam system, known worldwide for its versatility and reliability, now handles capacities up to 2,000 tonnes — reinforcing the company’s position as a trusted partner for offshore and renewable energy projects.
Technical Director Wan Djawad added: “The challenge was achieving a 2,000-tonne working load while retaining modularity, adaptability, and reliability. Every design decision was made to ensure the beams perform safely in demanding environments.”
