Allelys has announced the return of its Gottwald AK912 pedestal crane to the UK market, bolstering the company’s heavy lift capabilities. With a lifting capacity of 1,200 tonnes and a main boom length of 113 metres, the AK912 is one of the largest capacity cranes available.

Richard Beardmore, Chief Commercial Officer at Allelys, commented, “Our purchase of the AK912 offers an additional heavy lift crane option across the UK, expanding our fleet from cranes with lifting capacities of 15 tonnes up to 1,200 tonnes. The AK912 is well-established in the industry, known for its ability to lift heavy components at an impressive radius, offering significant commercial and technical benefits to our clients.”

He continued, “Whether operating on quays with significant stand-back requirements or lifting multiple components from a single location, this crane is versatile across all sectors. It reduces the need for additional cranes, cutting down on time and costs. The AK912’s adaptability makes it a valuable addition to our fleet.

The AK912 has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment at Allelys, with each component meticulously checked, tested, and replaced as necessary. Danny Skidmore, Chief Operations Officer at Allelys, stated, “With the crane now equipped with a state-of-the-art control system, it is ready to deliver the precise positioning and alignment of heavy cargo it’s known for.”
