Doosan Bobcat has announced the completion of a €2 million renovation and rebranding of its material handling facility in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. The modernized facility now reflects the signature Bobcat house style and features significant upgrades to its office spaces, workshops, and employee amenities.
The two-storey office building, home to approximately 60 employees, has been transformed into a contemporary open-plan workspace designed to enhance collaboration. Flexible workstations, ergonomic furniture, and expanded meeting spaces accommodate modern hybrid work models. Meanwhile, the workshops have been equipped with state-of-the-art lifting bridges and an overhead crane to streamline pre-delivery inspections, machine modifications, and repairs.
Key improvements also include a new canteen, updated sanitary facilities, charging stations for electric bikes and cars, and a secure bicycle shed, further enhancing the work environment for employees.
Gary Hornbacher, President of Doosan Bobcat EMEA, celebrated the milestone at the facility’s grand reopening:“This fantastic new facility marks the integration of our material handling division into the Bobcat brand, an important expansion of our compact machinery portfolio. The renovated Sint-Niklaas site will play a vital role in supporting our ambitions to grow in the material handling sector.”
Originally established in 1993, the Sint-Niklaas facility has evolved from a forklift sales hub to a key center for warehouse equipment, spare parts, and customer support. Following its acquisition of Doosan Industrial Vehicle in 2021, Doosan Bobcat extended the lease for an additional nine years and committed to this extensive renovation.
With additional material handling offices in France, Italy, and Germany and partnerships in over 90 countries, Doosan Bobcat aims to expand its reach and bolster its position in the European market. The upgraded Sint-Niklaas site is set to play a pivotal role in this growth strategy.
