Develon, formerly known as Doosan Construction Equipment, held its first Demo Days event from 23-27 September 2024 at a new site in Milovice, near Prague, attracting over 600 customers and dealers. The event showcased Develon’s latest machines and innovations, offering attendees the chance to test over 25 different models in optimal working conditions.

Among the highlights was the debut of autonomous equipment developed in collaboration with Gravis Robotics, a Swiss-based start-up specializing in AI-powered construction technology. This partnership aims to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous excavators by combining Gravis’s expertise in robotics with Develon’s mechanical engineering.

Another innovation revealed was a new 3D machine control system, developed in partnership with Leica Geosystems, for the Develon DX225LC-7X ‘Smart’ excavator. This retrofit integrates Leica’s 3D guidance system with Develon’s 2D sensors to improve operational efficiency.

Develon also marked its entry into the European dozer market with the launch of the DD130-7, notable for its enhanced visibility due to a redesigned engine compartment. This new model aims to improve operator precision and productivity.
