Schoeller Holdings and Deutsche Offshore Schifffahrt have ordered four advanced construction commissioning service operation vessels (C-CSOVs) for the offshore energy sector. The ships, set for delivery from China’s CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding in 2027, will serve offshore wind farms and other energy projects globally.

The 96.25-meter-long vessels will accommodate up to 100 technicians and are designed for versatile operations, including cable repairs and underwater construction. Columbia Shipmanagement will handle technical management, ensuring top-quality standards.

These energy-efficient ships feature a 1,000 kWh battery pack, modular workspaces, and future-proofing for climate-neutral operations, including retrofitting for methanol fuel. With advanced comfort and safety features, they cater to the growing demand for offshore support vessels worldwide.

Philipp Maracke, Managing Partner of Deutsche Offshore Schifffahrt, highlighted the company’s plan to charter the vessels for both short-term and long-term contracts, addressing the offshore energy sector’s increasing need for specialized ships.
