Subsea7 has entered a strategic collaboration agreement with PETRONAS Suriname E&P B.V. and Subsea Integration Alliance, establishing a long-term framework to support offshore field developments in Suriname.

The agreement brings together Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea under the Subsea Integration Alliance to work closely with PETRONAS Suriname on upcoming projects. The collaboration focuses on early engagement and integrated execution to streamline procurement processes, reduce overall development costs, and improve delivery certainty.

By optimising project timelines and reducing execution risks, the partnership aims to enhance project economics and unlock further opportunities across Suriname’s emerging offshore energy sector.

“We are proud to be working with PETRONAS Suriname through this strategic agreement to establish strong, sustainable foundations in Suriname,” said Craig Broussard, Senior Vice President for Subsea7. “The agreement builds on our track record of collaborating with clients to deliver optimised development solutions.”

Olivier Blaringhem, CEO of Subsea Integration Alliance, added: “This is an important step for the development of the significant opportunities in Suriname’s frontier basins. The combined deepwater expertise and collaborative approach of Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea will maximise value as these developments progress.”

The agreement highlights growing investment and activity in Suriname’s offshore sector, positioning the region as an increasingly important player in global energy development.
