Unirope Limited has reached a major milestone as its Edmonton, Alberta facility celebrates 20 years of operation, making it the company’s second oldest location after its headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
Unirope specialises in the manufacture, distribution, testing, certification, and inspection of high-performance wire rope and rigging products. Alongside Edmonton, the company operates facilities in Mississauga and Montreal, serving customers across Canada as well as selected markets in the U.S. and Europe.
The Edmonton branch has become a key hub for Western Canada, supporting industries such as oil and gas, construction, and mining. Over time, the site has evolved from a wire rope supplier into a centre for advanced lifting technologies, including the production of Slingmax Rigging Solutions Twin-Path and Helix slings.
According to the company, continued investment in technology and local expertise has been central to its growth. The facility now utilises one of the most modern roundsling machines in Unirope’s network, improving production speed, precision, and its ability to meet demand for high-performance, engineered lifting solutions.
The milestone comes as Unirope approaches its 70th anniversary, highlighting its long-term commitment to regional operations and customer-focused service.
