Wolffkran has announced a leadership restructuring effective April 1, 2026, appointing Dr. Peter Schiefer as Group CEO. He succeeds Duncan Salt, who will transition to the role of Regional CEO and Board Member for the Middle East and APAC.

The move follows a period of sustained growth, during which Wolffkran has evolved from a European-focused manufacturer into a global tower crane provider. Over the past decade, the company has more than doubled its revenue, driven by a strong international expansion strategy.

Dr. Schiefer, who previously served as CEO from 2005 to 2019, returns to lead the group at a time when further global alignment is seen as essential. The Board’s decision reflects a strategic shift to strengthen leadership in key growth regions while maintaining continuity at the executive level.

Duncan Salt will now focus on developing emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. His experience has already contributed to the company’s expansion into regions such as Saudi Arabia, as well as the successful growth of operations in the United States and France. In 2024, the U.S. accounted for around a quarter of Wolffkran’s total revenue.

Since its acquisition from MAN by Dr. Schiefer in 2005, Wolffkran has built a strong international presence. Key milestones include expansion across Central Europe, the establishment of a hub in Dubai, entry into the UK and French markets, and the development of operations in Texas and California. More recently, the company has strengthened its footprint in the Gulf region with new bases in Riyadh and Dammam.
