Tadano has appointed aerial work platform (AWP) industry veteran Tyler Brown as national business manager for its AWP business in the Americas, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strengthening support for its expanding Pan-American operations.

The appointment follows Tadano’s recent introduction of its AWP product line to the North American market. Erik Elzinga, Tadano America vice president of AWP business development for Pan-America operations, said the move is a key step in building customer support as Tadano continues rolling out its full range of AWP models across the region.

In his new role, Brown will lead the North American sales team as Tadano continues introducing the AWP line to contractors, rental houses, and other customers. Brown brings nearly 25 years of experience in the AWP sector, having worked with OEMs and rental companies and held sales management and executive-level positions.

“It is an extreme privilege to join a world-class manufacturer like Tadano and lead our dedicated team to help serve our customers work platform needs,” said Brown. “Leveraging Tadano’s market-leading expertise in the crane market, our innovative AWP line will provide customers with market-leading products that have no equal.”

Tadano’s AWP expansion in the U.S. and Canada follows the acquisitions of Nagano Industry Co., Ltd., manufacturer of self-propelled crawler boom lifts, and Manitex International. Tadano says the combined capabilities have created one of the industry’s most extensive boom lift ranges.

Tadano will showcase its AWP portfolio at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas, featuring diesel and electric tracked and wheeled models with platform heights up to 20.9 m. The new AS-63HD will make its North American show debut, offering a 1-tonne platform capacity and a maximum horizontal reach of 11.4 m.
