A consortium comprising Spanish company Ership, German shipping line Aug. Bolten and Swiss group Nova Marine has acquired the shares in VCK Port Logistics from VCK Group. The transaction was announced by VCK Group on 9 January. The partnership also includes Verenigd Cargadoorskantoor and Waterland Terminal, with the companies operating under the Dutch holding company Maja Stuwadoorsgroep. Ership and Aug. Bolten/Nova Marine had already acquired shares in Maja in February 2025.

VCK has been active in the Port of Amsterdam since the early 20th century and has developed into a key player in the breakbulk sector. The company operates two terminals, including Waterland Terminal, and provides stevedoring and logistics services to a broad range of customers.

The new shareholder structure is intended to create a stronger combined player in breakbulk and bulk logistics, serving a wider and more diverse customer base across Europe. The ambition is to grow into a larger international logistics company covering terminal operations alongside sea-going and inland shipping activities.

VCK said the collaboration will strengthen its ability to develop and expand while offering customers a broader range of handling options and improved international reach. The company also confirmed that its operations will continue independently and without changes under the same management team, ensuring continuity for employees and customers.

Roon van Maanen, Director Energy, Cargo & Circular Industry at Port of Amsterdam, welcomed the development and praised VCK’s long-standing contribution to the port. He described the company as a flagship player and said the Port of Amsterdam looks forward to continued cooperation with VCK and its new shareholders to support further growth and development.
