On 5 January 2026, the new Walk-to-Work Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) Acta Pegasus was delivered by Tersan Shipyard to Acta Marine. The vessel is the first of four newbuild CSOVs designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions for Acta Marine’s growing offshore fleet.
Built on the ULSTEIN SX216 platform, Acta Pegasus features the ULSTEIN TWIN X-STERN hull design, known for improved fuel efficiency, enhanced dynamic positioning performance, superior manoeuvrability, reduced vessel motions and lower noise levels. These characteristics make the vessel particularly suitable for demanding offshore wind operations.
The CSOV is equipped with advanced offshore access and lifting systems, including a 3D motion-compensated gangway and a motion-compensated crane, enabling safe and efficient transfer of personnel and cargo between the vessel and offshore installations.
Designed with sustainability in mind, Acta Pegasus is methanol-ready and fitted with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on marine gas oil or a blend of MGO and methanol. The vessel also incorporates a substantial battery energy storage system, further optimising fuel consumption and reducing emissions. It will support offshore wind projects in France, contributing to renewable energy development in the region.
Accommodation is provided for up to 135 personnel in high-comfort cabins, complemented by amenities including a restaurant, multifunctional lounges, a sauna, a gym and modern connectivity solutions.
Sister vessels Acta Hercules, Acta Gemini and Acta Aquarius are scheduled for delivery throughout 2026, further strengthening Acta Marine’s modern and future-ready offshore fleet.
