The Nordex Group has secured repeat orders in Canada for the supply and installation of 73 wind turbines, with deliveries scheduled for 2027 and 2028. The contracts, signed toward the end of 2025, represent a combined capacity of 508 MW and include long-term service agreements for all turbines.
The orders cover N163 turbines and, for the first time, N175/6.X turbines, marking the market entry of the N175 model in Canada. This milestone further expands Nordex Group’s product portfolio in the Canadian wind energy market.
All turbines will be delivered in cold climate configuration and equipped with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System for rotor blades. This technology is designed to ensure high availability and minimize ice-related downtime, a critical factor for reliable operation during Canada’s harsh winter conditions.
Manav Sharma, CEO North America of the Nordex Group, said the new orders underline the continued trust of customers and further strengthen the company’s market position in Canada. He highlighted that Nordex’s proven anti-icing technology remains a key success factor in cold climate regions and noted that the introduction of the N175 turbine will help customers maximize year-round energy production while contributing to a further reduction in the levelized cost of energy.
