On September 22, 2025, Ports of Normandy successfully deployed its new Port Community System (PCS), named NOMADE. Developed by easyport, the digital platform is designed to centralize and streamline the management of port calls and operations, while facilitating data exchange between harbor masters, shipping companies, nautical services, operators, customs, and other stakeholders.

Based on easyport’s easyPOS technology, NOMADE serves as a secure and collaborative one-stop solution that coordinates port call data, automates information sharing, simplifies administrative procedures, harmonizes communication among the port community, and ensures greater traceability and regulatory compliance.

Its rollout in the ports of Caen-Ouistreham, Cherbourg, and Dieppe represents a decisive step in the modernization and digitalization of Normandy’s ports. It also ensures compliance with the forthcoming European Maritime Single Window Regulation, which will take effect in 2026.

Further developments are planned to enhance the system, including the digitalization of ship port dues, a new Eco-port module for waste management, and AIS tracking of vessels in transit.

Philippe Deiss, Managing Director of Ports of Normandy, highlighted the simplicity, intuitive interface, and adaptability of NOMADE, particularly for specific activities such as Transmanche, noting the smooth transition achieved thanks to easyport’s support. Jérôme Besancenot, CEO of easyport, emphasized the company’s pride in supporting the digital transformation of Normandy’s ports, describing the launch as proof of the system’s capacity to modernize and simplify port operations while ensuring secure and efficient information flows.
