Canadian formwork specialist LJP Construction has strengthened its crane fleet with the addition of a Liebherr LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane.

When Liebherr launched the LTR 1150, we instantly knew it would fit our fleet perfectly,” says Axel Côté, Operations Manager at LJP Construction. The company already operates an LTR 1060, but with growing project demands, the new 150-tonne model offers the extra capacity and versatility needed. “Thanks to impressive load charts, it can handle a wide range of tasks and still remain compact and flexible on site,” Côté explains.

Unveiled in 2023, the LTR 1150 combines power with practical transport options and advanced technology. One of its standout features is the VarioBase system, originally from Liebherr’s LTM series. This technology automatically calculates the maximum lifting capacity in real time, depending on track width and rotation angle. The result: greater safety and significantly increased lifting performance, particularly at large radii or on narrow sites.

LJP Construction has been working with Liebherr since 2009, steadily expanding its fleet to include 21 tower cranes, twelve mobile cranes, a crawler crane, and additional Liebherr equipment such as concrete pumps, wheel loaders, and telehandlers.

Liebherr – like us – is a family-run company. We believe they produce the best products across many sectors, and the support we receive from their team is invaluable,” says Côté. With more than 400 employees, LJP Construction is renowned for its expertise in complex and tall formwork projects in the Montreal region.
