MYCRANE, the global online crane rental platform, has introduced a new feature: MYCRANE Auction.
Supporting multiple auction types—including reverse auctions, forward auctions, and sprint formats—MYCRANE Auction offers full flexibility. At launch, reverse auctions are expected to be the most popular, particularly for high-value or urgent rental jobs.
Accessible via the main rental platform, the new system allows customers to receive live bids from verified equipment providers in real time. According to MYCRANE, this dynamic bidding process can help reduce rental costs by 10–20% and cut procurement timelines by up to 60%.
“From day one, MYCRANE has aimed to simplify and modernize crane rental,” said Andrei Geikalo, MYCRANE founder and CEO. “With our auction module, we’re offering customers real-time visibility on supplier pricing and giving partners a fair, competitive environment.”
For customers, the auction provides greater control over timing and scope, transparent comparisons of offers, and faster decision-making. Verified suppliers can bid directly on the platform or join an auction after submitting offline quotes.
Initially available for crane rentals, MYCRANE plans to expand the auction feature to include transport services soon. Suppliers will also be able to run their own auctions—for example, to arrange crane or boom lift transport with qualified carriers.
Geikalo noted that the new tool removes uncertainty and reduces time spent on negotiations, allowing suppliers to win more jobs efficiently.
The feature is optional and expected to be used in 20–30% of transactions, especially where speed and cost control are priorities. Early adopters from other industries have already reported strong savings and faster sourcing cycles.
