Palfinger AG has appointed renowned financial expert Marianne Heiss to its Supervisory Board, reinforcing the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
“I am happy the Annual General Meeting of Palfinger AG appointed Marianne Heiss today. Her expertise in financial management, CSR, and ESG strengthens the company’s positioning,” said Hubert Palfinger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
A highly respected leader, Heiss has held top executive roles, including CEO and CFO at BBDO Europe, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy. She has also served on the supervisory boards of Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, Porsche SE, and Paysafe Limited. In addition, she advises Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG (Ritter Sport) and is UNICEF’s Honorary Representative for Philanthropy in Austria.
Beyond financial expertise, Heiss is a strong advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion. Her extensive network across industries positions her as a key asset for Palfinger’s future growth.
This appointment aligns with Palfinger’s strategic direction, particularly in CSR and ESG, which are increasingly vital in financial markets. With HR leadership under Maria Koller since early 2024, the company is set to integrate sustainability even more closely into its corporate governance.
Heiss is also a published author and podcast host, discussing leadership and future business trends.
