The Liebherr Group closed 2024 with a record revenue of €14,622 million, marking a 4.1% increase compared to the previous year. The company’s growth, though lower than the five-year average, was driven by mobile cranes, aerospace components, and robust orders in mining and gear technology.
The construction and mining segment, which includes earthmoving, cranes, and concrete technology, generated €9,891 million, a 3.5% rise. Other segments, including maritime cranes and refrigeration, saw a 5.5% increase, totaling €4,731 million. Strong performance in Australia, Japan, North America, and Africa offset declines in Europe and South America.

Liebherr’s focus on innovation led to a €666 million investment in R&D, prioritizing alternative drives, digitalization, and autonomy. Highlights included the L 566 H hydrogen wheel loader prototype and the LTC 1050-3.1E hybrid crane. The Group also launched the “Liebherr Autonomous Operations” system and introduced zero-emission mining trucks in partnership with Fortescue.
With €989 million invested in global production, logistics, and service networks, Liebherr remains committed to expanding capabilities. Projects included a new logistics center in Austria, a production facility in France, and a distribution center in the US.
Looking ahead, Liebherr expects moderate growth in 2025 despite economic uncertainties. The Group’s diversified structure and innovation pipeline are set to drive continued success.
