bp has commenced production from the second development phase of the Raven field, offshore Egypt, as part of the West Nile Delta (WND) project. This phase involves tying back additional subsea wells to existing infrastructure, boosting output while optimizing resources.

The new wells are expected to yield 220 billion cubic feet of gas and 7 million barrels of condensate. The project was delivered ahead of schedule, reinforcing bp’s commitment to Egypt’s energy sector.

Since January 2024, we have not stopped drilling for one day,” said Nader Zaki, bp Regional President for the Middle East and North Africa. “Our focus has been to fight natural decline, increase production, and support Egypt’s energy demand.”

The Raven field, operational since 2021, is the final phase of the WND project, located offshore within the North Alexandria and West Mediterranean Deepwater concessions.
