Terminales Marítimas de Vigo, S.L.U. (Termavi) has ordered two hybrid Konecranes Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes equipped with advanced Smart Features. The order, placed in Q4 2024, is set for delivery in Q4 2025.
Operating Spain’s Port of Vigo’s main container terminal, Termavi is committed to sustainability and efficiency. “These hybrid RTGs reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance safety with automation features,” said Román Davila González, Associate Director at Termavi. The cranes also allow for future hydrogen power retrofitting.
Konecranes’ Smart Features include Auto-Steering, Auto-Truck Guiding, Auto-Path Optimization, and Auto-Positioning for precise handling, alongside Auto-TOS Reporting for seamless integration. Additional enhancements include tire pressure monitoring, fire suppression, and automated greasing systems.
