Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has unveiled its New Generation Excavator series, the company’s most significant product update in 20 years. Introduced at Volvo Days 2024, the series is now available in Southeast Asia, with five models—EC210, EC220, EC230, EC300, and EC360—on sale from January 2025.
The launch kicked off in Singapore on January 17 with an event attended by over 100 customers, showcasing the flagship 20-tonne EC210 model alongside the L120 electric wheel loader. More events across the region will provide customers with a closer look at the new range.
Aligned with Volvo CE’s Our EDGE to Success framework, the excavators deliver Enhanced Efficiency, Durability and Safety, Greater Fuel Savings, and Easy Maintenance. The EC210 features a powerful engine with 10 work modes, improved hydraulics for faster cycle times, and up to 15% better fuel economy. Safety is enhanced with ROPS cabs, rearview cameras, and anti-slip plates, while maintenance is simplified with extended service intervals and accessible design.
