France’s official Raimondi agent, GP Mat International, has bolstered its rental fleet with the acquisition of two new Raimondi T147 flat-top tower cranes, aligning with the company’s strategy to modernize its offerings and meet evolving industry demands.

Frank Torchard, President of GP Mat, highlighted the milestone, stating, “We’re proud to enhance the GP Mat portfolio with the addition of two Raimondi T147s, reinforcing our commitment to the French market.” This acquisition pushes GP Mat’s rental fleet to over 200 Raimondi cranes, including three recent T187 flat-top models.

Selected for their operational versatility and lifting capacity, the new T147 cranes are currently deployed in Monteux, France, at the Les Jardins Harmonia residential project site. Alongside a Raimondi MRT159 topless tower crane, the T147s support various construction phases, erected at 24 meters with 40-meter jibs and a tip load of 4.35 tons. Outfitted with 37kW hoisting gears, each T147 crane can achieve lifting speeds up to 105 meters per minute and includes a Lumina cabin equipped with ConCore, Raimondi’s advanced control system.

Torchard noted the advantages of Raimondi’s modular design, which allows for part interchangeability and improved operational flexibility. The site’s MRT159 crane, operating at 33 meters with a 44-meter jib, remains a popular choice in France, particularly due to its reliable performance and the Class 110 series’ enhancements in error diagnostics, commissioning, and safety.

The cranes were installed in Q3 and are leased to project contractor HD Construction, with the Les Jardins Harmonia development set for a 14-month completion timeline. Once finalized, the site will feature 376 residential units, dining establishments, and landscaped green spaces, contributing to Monteux’s urban expansion.
