Empire Energy Partners Offshore Division, one of the leaders in offshore wind engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), has announced a strategic joint venture with The Herrick Corporation, a steel manufacturing and fabrication firm. This partnership aims to strengthen the domestic offshore wind supply chain and advance U.S. renewable energy goals.

The joint venture will explore manufacturing key components for fixed and floating offshore wind projects, including monopiles, transition pieces, towers, and secondary steel. With the growing U.S. offshore wind sector, this collaboration leverages Herrick’s steel expertise and Empire Energy’s EPC capabilities to meet increasing demand. The venture complements existing collaborations with Sarens and Largo Concrete, enhancing the manufacturing and construction portfolio.

In addition to component production, the partnership will explore developing facilities for manufacturing wind turbine generator (WTG) components, offering end-to-end solutions for the offshore wind industry.

“This joint venture is a critical step in bolstering the U.S. offshore wind supply chain,” said Mike Milledge, Senior Director of Offshore Wind at Empire Energy Partners. Robert Hazleton, CEO of Herrick Corporation, added that combining engineering, procurement, and fabrication capabilities will drive cost-effective domestic production of essential components.
