Liebherr’s subsidiary in Guaratinguetá, which will mark its 50th anniversary in 2024, has been a key player in providing used crane services for over three decades. The company offers a holistic package encompassing new cranes, spare parts, service, customer support, and the sale of used cranes, presenting a one-stop solution for its clients.
Rene Porto, division manager for mobile and crawler cranes at Liebherr Brasil, emphasizes the commitment to delivering original manufacturer quality, stating, “For all the work involved, we offer to our customers original manufacturer quality, in line with the motto: second hand, but still first class.”
The Guaratinguetá site features a modern repair shop for mobile and crawler cranes, where experienced repair specialists utilize technical know-how and decades of experience to bring used cranes up to the latest state of the art. Each used Liebherr crane undergoes individual reconditioning, allowing customization according to customer preferences, from painting to the inspection of components.
Burmester highlights the durability and value retention of Liebherr cranes, pointing out that a general refurbishment provides customers with warranties on the used equipment. Additionally, customers benefit from access to Liebherr’s global network of used machines from around the world.
Several Brazilian companies have recently chosen Liebherr’s used cranes to enhance their operations. Darcy Pacheco Soluções de Peso Ltda. opted for a used LR 1600/2-W crane, emphasizing its performance akin to a new crane and the reliability associated with Liebherr equipment.
Guindastes Tatuapé Ltda., a longstanding partner of Liebherr, acquired the LG 1750 mobile crane to meet the growing demands of the wind energy sector. Marcelo Monteiro, Commercial Manager, highlighted the technical features and capacity of the crane as key factors in their decision.
I.V. Guindastes chose a used LR 1600/2-W crane to support wind farm assembly and maintenance operations. Igor Boff, Commercial Director, praised Liebherr’s long-standing partnership and the quick delivery of the crane despite logistical challenges.
Orimom Ltda. added a Liebherr all-terrain crane, LTM 1400-7.1, to its fleet, citing the crane’s immediate usability after a high-quality revision by the manufacturer.
