Volvo Penta has joined forces with BRG Brasil Geradores and Binatural to drive continuous biodiesel production in Brazil. Binatural, a prominent player in the biodiesel industry, is committed to producing renewable and environmentally friendly energy. To ensure reliable power for their biodiesel facility, Binatural turned to BRG Brasil Geradores, a company with over two decades of experience in providing robust power solutions.
BRG Brasil Geradores acquired three generators powered by Volvo Penta’s TAD-1641GE engines, which have undergone rigorous testing to ensure they can operate continuously, efficiently, and sustainably using biodiesel produced on-site by Binatural. These generators have become the linchpin of Binatural’s biodiesel production, supporting an impressive annual capacity of 600 million liters and contributing significantly to Brazil’s total biodiesel production.
Binatural’s commitment to sustainability is highlighted by certifications like the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and the Social Biofuel seal, which emphasize their ethical and environmentally conscious practices.
Volvo Penta’s involvement extends beyond providing engines; it aligns with the company’s net-zero goals, aiming to reduce emissions through innovative renewable energy projects. This partnership underscores the potential for collaboration and innovation in driving sustainable energy solutions. It’s a beacon of hope in a world seeking cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
