Trelleborg has unveiled its latest tire, the XP900, specifically designed for high-intensity material handling applications. The tire provides stability during long workdays and heavy load operations, ensuring long-lasting wear across a variety of conditions, including warehouses, shop floors, and other material handling ground services.
According to Trelleborg, the XP900 tire has undergone performance comparison tests against key competitors, which have shown that it outperforms them by lasting 14% longer with 3% improved endurance, preventing heat generation during prolonged use. Furthermore, the advanced material compounds extend tire life and lower rolling resistance, resulting in enhanced energy efficiency.
The XP900 block tread is designed with a large footprint to facilitate easier cornering and load positioning, delivering 7% more stability when handling heavy loads. The tire is available in two compounds, multi-purpose or non-marking, and has been designed for use in both indoor and outdoor material handling operations.
Chiara Cianci, Product Marketing Manager Material Handling at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, said: “With the introduction of our XP900 tire, Trelleborg now boasts a full range of solid, resilient forklift tires that can handle any job intensity with specific high performing tire solutions. We’ve designed the XP900 tire to deliver operational efficiency and sustainability, ensuring a minimum level of energy waste. It’s proof of our commitment to bring advanced solutions to market that minimize environmental impact while maximizing performance under any working condition.”
