Kalmar has concluded a deal with Portonave S/A – Terminais Portuários de Navegantes (Portonave) to supply a Kalmar Eco Reachstacker, the first of its kind to be delivered to a customer in Latin America. With delivery scheduled for Q2 2022, the unit delivered to Portonave will have a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes and 1-over-6 high stacking capability. The Eco Reachstacker also uses a much smaller engine than traditional reachstacker solutions, meaning it can reduce fuel consumption and emissions without compromising productivity.

Marcelo Anacleto Diniz, Maintenance Manager, Portonave: “We are committed to sustainable development and are continuously seeking new ways to help protect the environment, and it is important that our new equipment acquisitions are aligned with these goals. The new Kalmar Eco Reachstacker will play an important role in improving our environmental and operational performance.”
