The Sogea-Satom teams have been involved in the first project to supply drinking water to Abidjan from the Mé river since September 2018. Divided into several sections, this project requires piping to be laid across two rivers and work to be conducted in a very busy neighbourhood of the capital. To do so, half of the workforce (92% of which is Ivorian) was recruited specifically for the project allowing people living in Abidjan and near the pipes to access drinking water at a time when demand for drinking water in the city is exceeding supply by 33%.
