Committed to the needs of customers in the Middle East, Terex AWP has opened new distribution centre in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, located on the premises of third-party logistics providers Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions (WWS). The new facility is entirely dedicated to Genie branded aerial access equipment and will hold a broad selection of boom lifts and scissor lifts to be able to provide quick response to customers’ critical business requirements.

Sharbel Kordahi, Managing Director, Terex Equipment Middle East (TEME), and Genie Sales Director for Middle East, South Africa, Russia and CIS, Terex AWP, says: “The market is evolving, and our customers have been finding that they are increasingly challenged by orders for projects that demand delivery at short notice. Addressing the need to ensure fast deliveries to better support our customers’ urgent requests, this new facility will help respond more quickly, getting them the equipment they need, when they need it. Customers can also rest assured that this will not change their existing order process.”

The new Genie distribution centre will also handle pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and the fitting of certain options.
