Indonesian heavy haulage specialist PT Superkrane Mitra Utama Tbk has strengthened its crane fleet with the addition of a new LTM 1230-5.1 mobile crane, preparing the company for demanding large-scale projects in 2026.
“The decision in favour of the LTM 1230-5.1 was based, among other things, on its technical performance and the specific requirements of a customer project,” said Yafin Tandiono Tan, President Director of PT Superkrane. With a lifting capacity of 230 tonnes and a 75-metre telescopic boom, the crane is particularly suited for steep positions and great hook heights. “With its Variobase system and the highest lifting capacity in its class, this crane is the ideal addition to our 5-axle fleet,” Tan added.

As a provider of equipment rental, heavy lifting, logistics, and construction services, PT Superkrane plays an important role in supporting Indonesia’s strategic initiatives to increase domestic industrial value creation. The new crane will primarily be deployed in long-term projects across the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
In addition to its technical performance, the market acceptance and strong resale value of Liebherr cranes were key factors in the investment decision. “Another important element was the excellent service and comprehensive, reliable support provided by the Liebherr team,” Tan emphasized.
Founded in 1996, PT Superkrane has grown from a small crane rental company with 20 machines to a heavy-lifting specialist operating around 400 cranes and employing more than 900 people. The partnership with Liebherr began in 2010, when the company added its first LTM 1200-5.1 to the fleet.
Today, PT Superkrane’s fleet includes Liebherr crawler cranes such as the LR 1300, LR 1750/2, and LR 1600/2, alongside mobile cranes including the LTM 1100-5.2, LTM 1200-5.1, LTM 1150-5.3, LTM 1500-8.1, and various all-terrain models.
