Manitowoc’s global reach has found a vital partner in PROMAT, Morocco’s exclusive dealer for Potain cranes since 2017. Founded by entrepreneur Said Essaidi in 2016, PROMAT has been instrumental in equipping Morocco’s construction sector with advanced crane solutions. Its journey began with the sale of a Potain MDT 269 topless tower crane to the Sogea Vinci group in 2018, and the company continues to support North Africa’s infrastructure growth.
PROMAT’s Potain cranes have powered major developments, including the Borj Attijari tower, home to Morocco’s largest bank, and the luxurious Royal Mansour Hotel. Other key projects include the upscale Anfa Park district and the upcoming Rabat Mohammed VI International University Hospital, which will be Morocco’s largest healthcare facility.
With Morocco’s construction industry on the rise, demand for used cranes has soared. Popular models like the Potain MC 85 and the GTMR 386B self-erecting crane are highly sought after for their durability, mobility, and performance. “By sourcing used cranes from Manitowoc’s global network, we ensure fast availability and reliability for our customers,” said Said Essaidi, PROMAT’s CEO.
As a Manitowoc EnCORE partner, PROMAT provides OEM-certified refurbishment and rebuilding services to extend crane lifespans. Recently, the company supplied 80 new mast sections to a local client, demonstrating its commitment to meeting evolving market demands.
With Morocco preparing for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, infrastructure projects like stadiums, roads, and train networks are expected to boost crane demand. PROMAT plans to expand its portfolio with cost-effective Potain cranes from China, solidifying its role in shaping Morocco’s development.
