Two Liebherr RMG cranes for Russia

Freight Village Vorsino, located outside Moscow have signed a contract with Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. for the supply of two rail mounted gantry (RMG) cranes. The RMG’s have a span of 32 m, a lift height over rail of 12.5 m and cantilevers of 8 m and 9.7 m respectively. The machines have a safe working load of 45 tonnes and feature a rotating machinery trolley.

As part of the Vorsino Industrial Park, the Freight Village has access to road, rail and air infrastructure, and includes a high performance intermodal terminal. The two new Liebherr RMGs form part of the expansion plans for the intermodal terminal which will see the capacity rise to over 500,000 TEU per annum.
The cranes, designed and manufactured by Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Ireland, will be shipped in large preassembled components to St Petersburg, from where they will travel by road for assembly and commissioning in Freight Village.
