BOLLORÉ TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS CONFIRMS A CONCESSION CONTRACT FOR THE RO-RO TERMINAL IN PORT SAÏD

Bolloré Transport & Logistics, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) and Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) have recently signed a concession contract with the Suez Canal Economic Zone for the future Ro-Ro terminal in Port Said, Egypt. The consortium plans to invest $150 million to develop and operate the Ro-Ro terminal. The project includes the acquisition of equipment and the development of infrastructure that will allow the handling of 800,000 vehicles per year.

Yehia Zaki, President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone commented: “This terminal will provide the automotive industry with quality services for the import, export and transfer of vehicules to neighbouring countries. The government aims at making Port Said a major transhipment hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. “
