Since two years and a half, the French subsidiary of the Vernazza Autogru company is using a Terex RT 90 rough terrain crane in the construction jobsite of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor in Cadarache. This machine has a 86t lifting capacity and its boom has a maximum reach of 47m. Its quick installation in 20 minutes and its great reliability have been very important points to chose this crane. “(…) The RT 90 with its width of only 3m is the most compact crane of this type on the market. This, too, made it our first choice for this construction site. It also has the intuitive IC-1 control system, which ensures precise crane movements, and has an innovative diagnostic function,” explained Paolo Delfino, General Director of Vernazza Autogru France. On this job site, the RT 90 has been requested to lift until 60t with a reach between 12 and 35m.
