€ 3.3 billion water treatment mega project for Egypt

President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi has engaged his country in the implementation of a huge project of water treatment and desalination.

This mega project, with an estimated cost of € 3.3 billion, will be the largest in the country’s history and will ensure the supply of drinking water to nearly 94.8 million Egyptians.

“Water for agriculture and drinking must be guaranteed for all Egyptians,” Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said, “We will not allow a water scarcity to occur in Egypt. We must not only keep our share of the Nile, but also use our share to the maximum.
